We've arrived!

We have finally moved in to our new home. On Monday afternoon, Julia, Abby, and me took a WestJet flight to Toronto, where we were picked up by Julia's Uncle Victor. We spent the next two days at Victor and Auntie Mary Ann's home in North York. Yesterday we rented a nine foot van and loaded it with furniture that was loaned to us by Mary Ann's friend Al. Then we took the roughly two hour drive to London.

When we arrived we met the new building managers Joanne and David, both really nice people. When they showed us our new apartment, Julia and I were both surprised by the size. We knew it would be big, but I don't think we realized just how big it was. We will definitely be able to have guests comfortably! After unloading the van, the four of us tried out the swimming pool. It's going to be great, especially the jacuzzi during the winter time.

Today we received our boxes that we had shipped from Vancouver via UPS Ground. They kicked the crap out of our boxes! When UPS arrived, we saw that one of the boxes had torn along the bottom edge, and a wine opener was poking out. Most of our stuff arrived intact, however there were a few casualties, including glasses, bowls, and mugs. The moral of the story is: either double wrap everything fragile in bubble wrap, or leave it at home and buy some cheap Ikea stuff when you get there.

The shopping cart was for moving stuff - weird, but it worked.

P.S. Does anyone know how to get Krazy Glue off of skin?
